My friend Sharon gave me a great tip on how to remove pomegranate seeds with minimal mess. Cut pomegranate in half horizontal (imagine the pomegranate is a globe- the stem is facing up and you want to cut across the equator), hold cut side over a bowl hit the skin with a heavy handle and the seeds will pop out without too much pith.
A cheese platter need not be all cheese. Combine your favorite cheese with some bold olives and dried fruit for an elegant and delicious display!

Kitchen Tool Spotlight
Soon after a potato is cut it begins to turn brown- this is called oxidation. Want to prep your potatoes ahead of time without the worry of them turning brown? Cut your potatoes and immediately place them in a bowl of ice cold water. They can be kept overnight in the fridge and will still be white as snow in the morning!
